Our team encourages and values applications from students and researchers with diverse backgrounds. This includes (but is not limited to) candidates with lived or living experience of mental health problems, candidates from populations that have been historically underrepresented in academia, and candidates trained in disciplines other than the mental health sciences.

As per McGill's departmental policy, newly admitted students in the graduate programs must guarantee annual stipends. These stipends can come from the supervisor, departmental awards, or external scholarships. More information about the minimum funding policy can be found here.

Applying for external funding is not a prerequisite to join our lab, but it is strongly encouraged. Key competitions include the Canada Graduate Research Scholarship and the Fonds de recherche du Québec. More opportunities can be found on McGill University's website.
